For my Anthropology class we had to create a monster/Legend of our assigned country/region. This is mine, He is also going to me my new male MH hottie. Once I get around to drawing him in MH style.

K’áax of Belize

k’áax Once a protective Shaman of the Ceremonial center of Cuello*. Just 4 miles from the Orange Walk District, is still protecting these private grounds today. The only warning is a single screech of a Howler monkey. If you continue off course deeper into the jungle on Orange Walk closer to Cuello with no guide, you are under his watchful eye as he observes you from the canopy.
He only attacks those who do not belong on the land, and those who don’t turn back at the warning previously given. Swooping down silently from the canopy tops to cocoon the intruder, turning them to ash to feed the land, and their souls to be in suspension of life and the underworld. It is said that after a trespasser is taken off the land an orchestra of howls and screeches can be heard for miles away.
Locally known as the Howler in association with the cries of the Howler monkeys, said to be visible prior an attack and appears with traditional garb. Most commonly pictured with a large jade snake atop his head, or covering his face. Some times said to have large wings made of leaves, or green feathers, other times solid looking and other times transparent, except for his eyes.
